netMS
netMS™ provides a robust element management system concurrently developed with NET platforms with a comprehensive, unified and consolidated management interface for NET mission-critical converged voice and data networks for enterprises, service providers and government agencies. netMS™ is an all-JAVA management system with an easy-to-use graphical user interface that allows our customers to make the best use of network management personnel resources to productively and cost-effectively manage, monitor, configure and provision NET networks.

INTEGRATED ELEMENT MANAGEMENT

netMS™ discovers network equipment, collecting not only alarms and events but also detailed configuration information, consolidating the information for graphical views of nodes, networks, subnetworks, network elements and links between the network elements. Topology maps provide visual representation of the network and aid users in understanding its connectivity and the service state of its nodes and links.

Users are alerted to alarms and the severity of the device’s standing conditions through highlighting and color-coding of the equipment and facilities on the map and the alarm state is reinforced on each view of the device’s data. Incoming events and alarms are monitored and alarms currently raised on the network elements are displayed and can be further escalated to an operator via an audible alert, email or a popup window. Context-sensitive help is provided to help the user understand and initiate actions on reported conditions.

Inventory of the physical equipment in each network element, down to its component racks, shelves, cards and ports is collected and displayed in an inventory tree that shows the installed hardware components in a hierarchical configuration. A user navigates easily to the target physical component and through a wide range of offered actions configures and manages physical or logical connections in the NET network elements including their connecting links and permanent or virtual subnetwork connections.
