FEATURES

The VX platform supports from 1 to 32 T1 or E1 ports, 16 FXS ports and 2 Ethernet ports, making it a compelling solution for enterprises, government entities and service providers looking to deploy IP-based voice networks. VX SERIES combines the functionality of a media gateway, call control component, SS7/C7 signaling point, H.323/SIP inter-working device and media server in a single, compact chassis. VX SERIES supports a wide range of voice and call routing features. All of these are backed by key components that ensure the platform and the calls moving across it are secure.

Conformance to the latest VoIP signaling and call control standards, such as SIP and H.323, guarantees interoperability within multivendor VoIP deployments. Moreover, VX900's support for standards-based signaling mechanisms and inter-working techniques enables the platform to be easily deployed into existing VoIP networks.

VX SERIES BESTflowTM frame packing technique, together with the BESTTM signaling protocol (BSP), affords clear advantages when deploying VoIP platforms. Combining up to 160 individual calls into a single IP packet, BESTflow reduces the required bandwidth and the latency typically associated with transporting voice over an IP backbone network.
